I’m Lorna Beard, an artist working from my garden studio in North East Derbyshire. I create paintings inspired by nature, folklore and the half remembered magic of childhood.

My work sits somewhere between the familiar and the imagined. I’m drawn to rich colours, a sense of story and things that make me feel nostalgic, warm inside and a little curious.

For me, making art is part of living a creative life. That same imagination finds its way into my home, my furniture and the everyday things around me.
